You have some issues with your cell phone. Someone is calling from the same cell phone number and hanging up. You’re afraid it’s that weirdo that hangs around your apartment when you arrive home from work every night. You want to find a free reverse cell phone search that will tell you the name of the person who keeps calling you.

People have wanted to do free reverse searches for as long as I can remember. And at one point in time, if your carrier was AT&T, they offered a website online where you could look up other AT&T cell phone numbers and who owned them. When this happened, the other large carriers considering following suit but because of the outcry of people’s privacy being invaded, they all dropped the idea including AT&T. Ever since then, there hasn’t been a carrier or a free way to find out who is the person on the other end of our cell phones.

So how do you do a free reverse cell phone search?

You can begin by trying to Google the cell phone number. Many times if you look through at least 30 pages, you may find some name associated with the number. But after all that work and effort, usually the information is inaccurate and all you end up with is frustration. It’s free so it’s worth a try. Just don’t expect some amazing results because you won’t get any. Although this is true of cell phones, sometimes you can get very good results if you want to look up a landline. Again, the best way to do that is to put the landline phone number into the browser of a major search engine and hit search.

There really isn’t any way to get a free reverse cell phone search I’m sad to say.

But there are plenty of legitimate online companies that will gladly, for a reasonable fee, find the names of the people you are searching for that will match the cell phone number involved. As with anything else, you have to be careful. Many companies use outdated, inaccurate information. Only use a company that has been endorsed by the large phone companies such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and others. The only company I know that has been endorsed by them and has great online reviews is InfoRegistry. You will get all of the information you are looking for and much more.
