Stop! If you’re looking for a reverse cell phone search
you are wasting your time. Some people believe that it’s
possible to find either landline or cell phone owner’s
names online free of charge. If anyone finds one that works
and is accurate, please let me know. From my own experience
working with reverse searches for years now, there isn’t
any legitimate way to find a person’s name from a cell
phone number. Sometimes it can happen with a landline, but
even then, the accuracy comes into question.
A few years ago the phone companies began formulating a cell
phone reverse directory. This was met with an outcry from
so many that the effort was stopped and the idea abandoned.
Today, people still want to do a reverse cell phone search
and think that it will still be as easy as looking up a phone
number in the white pages of the phone book. That is just
not true and it will never be true.
Yet there is a directory which has all of the cell phone
numbers from every carrier and it is available; but not to
the public. It is available to law enforcement, the government
and any other organization that would need the cell numbers
for legitimate safety reasons. And even then it is only allowed
to be used by certain people to safeguard the public’s
privacy.
So how do you do a reverse cell phone search that is accurate
and reliable?
Unfortunately since January of 2008, Google, Yahoo and all
other search engines stopped giving out that information when
you type a phone number in the browser. Even before then,
the results were limited, but now you get nearly nothing.
It’s a lot of wasted time and frustration trying to
find a needle in a haystack. But it’s free so it’s
worth a try. Just remember to try to put the cell number with
quotation marks around the number (“555-555-5555”)
so that the digits will stay in that exact order. And also
look deep into the search at least 20 or more pages. If it’s
there, that’s where the name associated with that cell
phone number will be.
If you want the reverse cell phone search done quickly and
accurately, then go to one of the companies online that specialize
in this kind of search. They are fast and many times guaranteed.
Good luck!
